{"id":842,"date":"2025-07-30T12:00:57","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T12:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.agencywebdesigners.com\/?p=842"},"modified":"2025-07-31T14:25:23","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T14:25:23","slug":"tourists-added-28-5-billion-to-colorados-economy-last-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.agencywebdesigners.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/30\/tourists-added-28-5-billion-to-colorados-economy-last-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Tourists added $28.5 billion to Colorado\u2019s economy last year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tourists continued to funnel billions of dollars into the Colorado\u2019s economy last year, but <a href=\"https:\/\/oedit.colorado.gov\/tourism-research\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new data released Tuesday<\/a> shows a mixed bag for tourism\u2019s impact in 2024 and the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Tourism contributed $28.5 billion to the state\u2019s economy and supported 188,510 jobs across the state in 2024, both of which are relatively flat compared to 2023, according to numbers released by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/tag\/colorado-tourism-office\/\">Colorado Tourism Office.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While the annual research from Dean Runyan Associates and Longwoods International Travel USA shows tourism is still a big economic driver, \u201c\u2026indicators suggest that increasing competition and uncertainty related to federal policy changes are putting pressure on Colorado\u2019s thriving tourism industry,\u201d state officials said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>There was a 2% increase in tourists last year, from 93.3 million people in 2023 to 95.4 million in 2024.
